Nature, or nurture, or both?
What is the origin of empathy? Is it learned, or inate? What is its evolutionary purpose? And how does the ability to understand and share the feelings of someone else help us?
Simon is a retired consultant neurologist with an interest in cognitive neuroscience, for example the neurobiology of empathy.
