Andrew Brown writes the press column for the Church Times. He has been a leader writer on the Guardian, the Parliamentary sketch writer on the Independent, and the winner of the Orwell Prize for his book on Swedish social democracy (and trout) Fishing in Utopia. He has also written two books of pop science, edited the Guardian's Belief site, and written for practically anyone else who will pay him.
