My part in its downfall

Paul will talk about his own experiences and reflect on the changes in attitude and the organisation as they impacted his work and the output he was connected with. Discussion will follow on the role of the BBC in the medium term, and ask the question: will the BBC be relevant in the longer term and what form should it take?

Paul Richmond

Paul worked at the BBC from 1984 to 2007. Paul's working life started as a Lecturer in Art and Photography. He joined the BBC in 1984 as a propman at Pebble Mill. His next role was Production Buyer at Television Centre before moving into Drama Production and becoming Head of Production from 1997.
